Stuck keys, squeaky pedals, broken strings, action adjustments...
Let us know of anything not working on your piano.

Regular piano tuning is essential.

  • Seasonal humidity and temperature changes cause piano parts to expand, contract, and shift, which changes the tuning.

  • A piano's strings are under tremendous tension. Over time, the tension loosens and the pitch drifts downward.

  • Playing also causes the strings to gradually loosen and the pitch to drop.

  • Tuning a piano is as much about keeping it in tune as it is placing notes at the correct pitch.

  • A piano tuned less often than every six months will more quickly drift out of tune than will a regularly tuned piano.

  • After more than a year, a piano will be likely to require two tunings to keep it from immediately drifting out of tune.
